The Peoria Motorcycle Club has been active since 1934, and today, it still reflects the original intent of its founders. Promoting motorcycling in a family-friendly atmosphere that will continue to bring families and motorcyclists together is still the number one focus of the club members.

The 61st annual running of the National Championship TT Races held on Sunday, August 23, 2009 was won by Henry Wiles for his fifth Peoria TT National in a row. Glen "JR" Schnabel followed Henry home with Shaun Russell right behind him in third place. The Peoria TT is the oldest continuously running dirt track race in the world.
